Slow Road to Recovery
I managed 800 words of a new story today, the high point of productivity thus far post-Clarion. I'm still trying to get settled and establish a daily routine so I can get back to meeting regular writing goals. The plan was to have another story revised by now, but let me tell you, it's tough getting motivated about revisions at this point. So I have officially put them on hold until further notice. No use banging my head against that wall.

Yeah, that's how I feel at the moment. Revisions sometimes need (and deserve) that extra time. There's certainly no rush, as long as one does indeed get back to them, right?
Revisions are haaard. (In Howard Waldrop's Texas accent.)

Now I remember why I don't like the multiple draft approach to writing. Much easier to take my time and get it somewhat closer to what I want the first time around.
I'm really starting to regret so blithely agreeing to get two more stories out by the end of the month. Oi.
